You may have your differences with your parents, but don’t forget that your ‘modern’ views developed only because they provided all the resources to you that helped you grow. So deep down they’re glad that you’re more progressive and updated, but you need to give them some time to catch up. Win their confidence, be patient and most importantly, be grateful for everything.
At the end of it, family is all that stays. We can break up with a partner, distance a friend, forget an acquaintance, but can never let go of these members of our mad-house. So, value the time you spend with them and their efforts to help you reach where you are today.
